Licences
The new format licences have been in operation since 2010. The new system is simpler in appearance and in format, but the onus is now on the highest officer or CEO of the company to endorse an Annual Performance Statement, which will be publicly available online. This must contain any annual usages, monitoring and modelling that may be necesssary to demonstrate compliance with licence conditions, SEPP and any community consultation issues.
Monitoring may take the form of spreadsheet calculations for volatile solvents emitted to air, or direct measurement of combustion products and other substances which cannot be calculated from purchase information. In either case, it will be necessary to confirm the reported emissions to air.

However, the 21 day advertising period remains in place and provided that there are no public objections or further queries by the Authorities involved (such as local Council, Water Authorities etc.), the assessment of the application can commence.
