The National Greenhouse Accounts Factors

The Australian Greenhouse Office Factors and Methods Workbook has for many years been a key source of information for calculating greenhouse gas emissions in Australia. A new publication, called the National Greenhouse Accounts Factors has just been released by the Department of Climate Change (formerly the Australian Greenhouse Office). The publication is broadly similar in structure and content to the AGO Factors and Methods Workbook released in December 2006. The new publication presents updates on many emission factors, most importantly those reflecting changes in fuels used to produce electricity. Changes have also occurred in some emission factors due to the implementation of new international guidelines for emissions estimation methodologies (2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories).
